Yep, I’ve done the same thing. Just put this in my description:

<a rel="me" href="https://writing.exchange/@matt">@matt</a>

Here, you’d replace:

  • https://writing.exchange/@matt with your Mastodon profile URL, and
  • @matt with whatever you want the link to show
