Can't verify a write.as hosted blog on Mastodon

Mastodon allows for a “green check” for verified ownership of websites/domains. Can’t get it to work with write.as following their instructions.

Thoughts? Anyone have success with this?

I managed to make it work, but I had to put the ref=me in the description of my blog. DavePolaschek (@DavePolaschek@shytrr.com) - Shytrr and davepolaschek — Write.as

Yep, I’ve done the same thing. Just put this in my description:

<a rel="me" href="https://writing.exchange/@matt">@matt</a>

Here, you’d replace:

  • https://writing.exchange/@matt with your Mastodon profile URL, and
  • @matt with whatever you want the link to show

doesn’t work for me. Maybe cause of the cross-origin error?
