WriteFreely Moderation Tools

Are there any moderation tools in WF at all? I’m looking to suspend some users and blogs on a public instance, and there doesn’t appear to be a clear way to do this.

Some moderation features will land in v0.11, which should be out soon. Here’s the pull request for per-user suspension: https://github.com/writeas/writefreely/pull/174

Are there any other controls you’d like to see in WF? E.g. anything more granular?

Hi @JonahAragon! Just wanted to check in to let you know that our latest release, 0.11.1, has the ability to silence users, meaning that their blogs & posts are removed from the public instance. The silenced user can still log in to access their posts but cannot publish anything new.

This can be done by going to the user list from the admin dashboard and going into the specific user you want to silence/suspend. There’ll be a silence button towards the bottom of their user information.

Hope that helps and do let us know if there are any other moderation tools you’d like to see.

Great! One other thing I would need is the ability to find out which user a particular blog belongs to, which doesn’t appear to be possible (in the admin UI).
