I was running a scanner over one of my instances on write.as, and I found the following rather disturbing items:

  • No robots.txt file
  • Duplicate H1’s on tag: pages
  • Mixing insecure sources on secure pages notably:
  • Missing viewport meta on the rss feed
  • Links missing rel=“noopener”

These are the most concerning / pressing issues I saw during the scans of my site…

Thanks for the input. It would help to have a little background on what’s going on with each of these items, e.g. what robots would you want to block? What does the viewport meta tag need to look like? I understand the duplicate H1’s are a problem. But what would rel="noopener" help with for you, in particular?

Lastly, I’d note that the “insecure source” there is just a pointer to a spec – nothing actually gets loaded in the browser (otherwise you’d likely see your browser complain errors). But we could probably update to HTTPS at this point – I’ll have to check.

So, honestly, a response two weeks after the initial post, on top of not being able to access the discuss for two weeks due to authentication issues just isn’t acceptable. I migrated my sites to a different service, closed my account and desire a refund.
