watching the log, I see writefreely contacting the Smtp server at least each minute. Is there a way to set the timeperiod between attempts? (it seems to be successfull, because it ends with “Done”
How would you like to change the period between when this job runs, i.e. more or less frequently? Right now, there’s no way to customize this without modifying WriteFreely itself and changing the interval there.
However, note that this job isn’t actually contacting the SMTP server. This job only runs a query on the database to see if any posts need to be emailed out. If so (and only in that case), it will contact the mail server and send out the email.
thank you for clarifying that. In that case I am agnostic to the frequency of polls. I was just afraid to get into a fight with my Postmaster because my Surface seemed to knock up the mailserver and get thrown out.

I would have wanted to extend the Pause between lookups. But since the situation is not as I assumed, you might as well disregard …. see above…
