When you enter the feed main page through this link today, the screen suddenly changes to a strange one, and when you enter any nickname, an unidentified chat room appears. What is the reason for this? Is it some kind of hacking phishing site?
@matt Seeing this too when I click the Older link on the first page of read.write.as. It’s looking like someone has hijacked the URL read.write.as/p/2 to direct people to an IRC server. Here’s what that looks like when you enter a nickname into the Nick field on the hijacked page:
Interestingly enough, when I add /p/3 to the URL, the pirate login page doesn’t display. Clicking the Older and Newer buttons works as it should, unless I click Newer while on page three.

Hey, thanks everyone for the heads up! Definitely avoid entering any information into that site – I’m not sure exactly what it is.
But I’ve removed it from Read Write.as (though it may take a little longer to clear from the cache). Will also work on a fix so people can’t take over the page like this in the future.
