I’ve got alt-text showing within my Write.as blog (images are hosted on Snap.as), but when the posts show up in my Mastodon accounts, they aren’t showing the alt-text. I also tried from a Catodon account, and the alt-text isn’t showing there, either, so it seems to be the federation, not the blog. Any ideas? Or is this just not working (yet)?
Definitely want to support this, but it just hasn’t been implemented yet. Tracking this issue here:
Thanks! I’ll follow on Github to keep up with this. It’s a big thing for me - I’d be uncomfortable switching to blogging professionally on write.as without alt-text going out.
