I’d love to be able to add links to Mastodon posts and have them generate a card. Example:
I recall Write.as using some sort of service for these cards, but I don’t remember what it was. I wonder if it’s a reasonable request to ask for its availability in posts.
Medium implemented these so people could link to other Medium articles and see the cards. And a good example of how I’d like to use it, is in this piece:
I show a bunch of screenshots of Mastodon replies. It would be far more advantageous to show the reply cards in place of screenshots.
