Markup in Description field

Markup in the blog description field isn’t working. I’m stumped. What obvious thing am I missing?

Just give it some standard html. Have a look at https://suitbertmonz.de/
which is Mein Micro-Blog @suitbertmonz in the Customize description field.

Unfortunately support for formatted descriptions hasn’t shipped in WriteFreely yet – but it will be in the next version!
