Hi,
I created a WriteFreely account on an instance using a federated login from a Mastodon instance. As a result, I don’t have a username/password combination to log in to the app with. Is there a way to work around this?
Thanks!

So you’ll have a username (it should show up when you log in with Mastodon), but you won’t have that password set. You might be able to set it in your Account Settings as long as you haven’t set disable_password_auth = true
in your config file.
Do you see the option to set a password there?
No. Unfortunately not. I’ve talked to the instance owner and he is also looking in to the problem. But as he doesn’t want to administer users on the instance I don’t think that’s going to change anything.
Are there any plans for supporting a federated login in the app? Otherwise I think I’ll ask Apple for a refund. The app looks good though, so that would be my preference.
