The mastodon link for @jevans@climatejustice.social does work correctly.
I am able to find and follow the blog from my mastodon account.
The link for @jevans@jevans.bio becomes https://jevans.bio/@/jevans@jevans.bio and returns 404 “Collection doesn’t exist”.
The jevans.bio link gets mangled into
@jevans@jevans.bio">https://climatejustice.social/@jevans@jevans.bio
and doesn’t correctly create a link.
I also tried https://climatejustice.social/%40jevans%40jevans.bio, which renders correctly, but the link fails to convert %40 into @
What do I have to do to include a link that works?
Hey, thanks for reporting this!
It looks like these are bugs on our end, where we’re naively replacing @jevans@jevans.bio
wherever we find it, including in that link (https://climatejustice.social/@jevans@jevans.bio
). On top of that, there seems to be a bug with @-mentioning your own blog on a custom domain.
For now, I’d suggest leaving out the fediverse handle / URL for your own blog, and instructing people to search for https://jevans.bio
on Mastodon – it’ll work just the same.
Sorry for the issue – I’ll take a closer look at these issues soon and keep you updated on when it’s all fixed.
Thanks! I was going a bit mad trying to figure out what I was doing wrong lol.
Also, I don’t know if this helps, but I initially had my handle set as @blog@jevans.bio, and when I put that in the signature, the link it generated redirected to here: Write.as Blog — Write.as
