I download my blogs from write.as every month. On occasion I’ve gotten bad gateway errors on the CSV version, but can always generally get one or the other (txt/csv), but this morning, both are erroring out. I suspect it may be related to the size of my content, but that is a guess.
Please advise. I can still get json and prettified, but prefer TXT and CSV as it allows me text level searches and copy-pastes. I’m too lazy to learn what to do with JSON and Prettified, but like having them just in case.
Hmm, yeah this might happen if you have a ton of posts. For now, I’d recommend trying at different times of day (when load on the server might not be as high), but I’ll also take a look into how we might be able to optimize this.
Oy! I hope we can find a solution. I can no longer export JSon or Prettified. ANd I’ve tried early morning, midday, midnight, late evening… essentially every quarter of the 24 hour period over many days through several week.s
Tonight, after a failed export attempt, I was presented with a ‘a previous edit exists’ dialog on a 54,000 post. Confused I ignored it and clicked publish and lost 45,000 words.
Since my last back up is from May, and that 54k work was a single month’s effort (November), I’m kind of f*$ked.
Please advise. I’m VERY concerned that I’m well on my way to publishing a million words here on Write.as and may no longer be able to reliably back them up and then possibly lose tens of thousands of hours of work.
