Font swapping and flashing

Hi!

Honestly one of the reasons I want to start using write.as and not some other platform is beautiful typography. Really awesome work!

But I’m quite surprised to see quite unpleasant style flashing each time I reload an article page.

Would you be considering improving this experience? There is a couple of things that can be done.

  1. Preload fonts using <link rel="preload">: Fighting FOIT and FOUT Together | CSS-Tricks - CSS-Tricks
  2. Use font-display: block to reduce a change of font swapping. This one can be an opt-it, surely not everyone might prefer this is to be a default.

There’s another thing happening which I cannot explain. There is some text-blinking that happens. I recorded a video:

Any idea why this may be happening?
