For a professional web person or someone for whom the blog is a full-time endeavour, that might do the trick. But for people like me, who may only have some time over weekends and evenings, 2 weeks is a steep one. I could use a few additional weeks to get things going and decide on committing to write.as.
Is it possible to extend the trial for a few weeks? Thanks!
I wonder if it could be extended to something like the first reached of 6 weeks or 5 posts. I recall I did take a punt initially when I signed up for Pro as I hadn’t had a chance to really check it out either.
I did extend it in this case, and I definitely think we could extend the time limit – it can be hard for many people to dig in deeply in just two weeks.
I also like the idea of putting it on another metric like number of posts, but it’s a bit tricky since the platform is used in so many ways. Many spammers want to flood their blog with posts soon after signing up, which is why we have the per-day limits for new users. But regular writers sometimes post a ton of short entries right away, or want to import a big archive of their old blog, too. So it’s a bit of a balance.
Either way, I have some changes to both the free plan and trial planned soon that I think should help more people settle into the platform!
