How about a universal template or API with the help of which the community can create various blog templates or themes to give a little bit of personality to their blogs? It definitely looks stale to take a look at any blog hosted on write.as or powered by writefreely having the same color palette and template.

What about a CSS API, or rather a document of the CSS IDs and classes used. Then anyone could create a theme by overriding these identifiers in their custom CSS.
