Hey there. I’ve spun up my own instance of WriteFreely, but I’m struggling to figure out how to add a custom browser icon.
Other posts on this forum seem to say that the option to add a site icon should be in “Customise” but I don’t see any option when I look in this menu.
Here’s an image of what I see when I click “Customise”:
I must be missing something here!
If you mean the favicon, the feature may be specific to Write.as as you can see in this screenshot of my Customize page:
Right, since WF doesn’t have photo uploads yet, it doesn’t have custom favicon support yet either. For now, for WriteFreely, you can replace ./static/favicon.ico with your own icon and it will show up for your entire instance.
Note that you’ll want to be sure you don’t overwrite this when upgrading WF in the future.
Replacing static/favicon.ico didn’t work for me. Is there something else that needs to be done too?
