I have two blogs with federated accounts setup as @blog@leftof.tech and @jevans@jevans.bio
From my @leftoftech@mastodon.social account, I can follow both blogs and that follow shows up on my write.as blog subscribers page.
However, from my account at @jevans@climatejustice.social, I cannot follow either blog. I tried to troubleshoot with the admin at climatejustice.social, but when they tried to follow both from their climatejustice.social account, it worked just fine.
Is there anything that devs can inspect on the write.as side to see if anything funky is going on on this end? Thanks.
Hey! This is definitely a bit strange, but a lot of the time, this has to do with something odd happening on the Mastodon side. I’ll need to sync up with you to find any errors as they’re happening, but first can you please try unfollowing / cancelling “follow request” on that end, and then following again? Most times, this fixes things right away.
@matt I was able to do some live troubleshooting with my mastodon instance admin. From their side, it seems like all the requests are sent correctly, but they receive a 500 response from write.as:
