Billing issue: can't renew 5-year sub

Hello,

I’m wondering if someone can help me with a billing issue.

I haven’t been able to renew a 5-year subscription. If someone could help sort this issue, I’d be grateful. I’ve reached out via email and with a direct message on the forums.

Thanks in advance for any help!

@matt Just bumping this up for your attention. Any chance I can get an assist here, please?

Hi @Matt I’d love to be able to continue to be a subscriber, but I need to be able to pay you. I’d be grateful for your help. Thanks in advance.

Hey, really sorry for the delay on this! There’s currently an issue with renewing 5-year subscriptions since it’s a manual process. But I’ll be taking a look at it this week, and will let you know when you can renew!

Hi @matt , Thanks so much for the reply. Keep me posted. Looking forward to re-subbing.

Hi @matt. Any news on this?

Hey, sorry again for the long delay! Now you can renew your 5-year subscription from this page:

Just click “Get Started,” and it’ll take you to a page where you can buy the 5-year plan again. Please let me know if you run into any trouble!

For me, it says the five-year plan is my “current plan,” so it looks like I’m set to auto-renew. Is that correct? I think my sub runs to the end of the month.

Ah, you’ll still need to manually renew the plan – and unfortunately for now you’ll have to wait until the current plan elapses to do that. So would recommend checking on that page on the date shown on your “Billing” page. I’m working on a fix and better notifications for everyone now.

Hi Matt,

Yesterday was the day my 5-year plan was supposed to renew, but it apparently didn’t. Should I manually upgrade? The billing tab says I have a payment of $180 due for the renewal, but has a dash where it should say when it renews.

So do I need to manually click that “Upgrade” button, or is there something else I should do?

Thanks!

Ok. Can’t renew, and my blogs have been unpublished. Or at least, if I click the “upgrade” on that page, there’s no option for a five-year plan.

@matt, what do I need to do in order to get back online?

https://lmjargon.info/ shows one of my blogs which is now offline.

Ok. I scrolled up-thread and found the 5-year subscription for $240. Subscribed to that, and I’m ok with a price increase, and my blogs are back online, but I’m also thinking maybe I need to go looking for somewhere else to host my stuff if I want it to reliably be online. If nothing else, the lack of clarity around the renewal, and sometimes long absences are worrying.

Glad it got sorted out! And sorry it was misleading about auto-renewing in the app.

I know the absences can be frustrating, I’m still trying to get back on top of things especially after the disruption that happened to me over the last several months. But I hope to have things in order soon, and hope you’ll stick around! I’ll continue working on that, and you should see some improvements all around in the near future.
