I just ran into this issue as well, two days in a row, using the paid, hosted https://write.as version of WriteFreely, so it seems to still be an unsolved bug.
Hey, so sorry for the trouble! This is a different issue on Write.as that recently started happening intermittently, and we’re investigating now.

I’m experiencing something similar.
I have an anonymous post in draft and when I try to preview it I get the status message Generating... but nothing happens. If I publish the post I get the errors Failed to post. Please try again. (404) or Failed to post. Please try again. (0). Also, the page https://write.as/me/c/USERNAME/stats sometimes loads with no CSS.
Several hours later I was able to post with no issues.
I still have an issue I don’t know whether it’s related: signing into Snap.as with my Write.as account yields the error 502 Bad Gateway.
After investigating this more, I believe we’ve found the cause and fixed what was wrong. I’ll be monitoring from here, but please let me know if you all still see this issue again.
