Themes... for sale?

Absolutely.

If anyone codes templates for showcase sites, I’ll buy.
NB: I’m French.

As someone new to the site and not proficient with CSS, much less JS, I would probably pay for access to more themes even though my intended blog is purely non-commercial and will only ever cost me money. $59 to access a set of good themes that I could modify myself would be worth paying for, but I’m probably less price sensitive than many folks. I would not want to pay for a theme I couldn’t modify.

For me, the primary value would be to use the themes as inspiration and a foundation that I could use to tweak and learn. So far I have used the existing example themes for this purpose (and asked LLMs with varied success), but they aren’t always well documented and a lot of the customization I want is spread across multiple themes that I have to cobble together. That takes a significant amount of time for me as a person who doesn’t know the underlying script language.
