## March 2019

Here’s a quick update on what we’re working on at the moment. The projects from [last month’s update](https://discuss.write.as/t/state-of-the-development-february-2019/358) are still ongoing, except the WriteFreely 1.0 launch has been moved to another month (more on this below).

These are our highest development priorities for March:

- ☑ ~~Organize / browse Read Write.as by hashtags~~
- WordPress Import tool
- ☑ ~~Subscribe to blogs via email~~
- Standalone Snap.as accounts

These are ongoing tasks that we _hope_ to have finished this month:

- Android v2.0 release
- Cross-post integration with a new blogging platform

### WriteFreely 1.0 launch

This launch has been moved to Q2. Besides development needed, there’s plenty of work to do around the launch itself, which we won’t have time for this month.

In the meantime, you’ll start to see some tasks [from our roadmap](https://writefreely.org/tasks) get finished. When it’s ready, v1.0 should be a very solid release.

## Contribution Opportunities

Looking for ways to contribute to the project? This month, we could especially use help adding and improving WriteFreely documentation! Resources:

- [How to Contribute](https://writefreely.org/contribute#documentation)
- [Documentation repo](https://github.com/writefreely/documentation)
- #development:documentation for discussions

Thank you. When do you think the subscribe by email will happen? Looking forward to that, very much.

This is live now! 🙂 It’s still early, but you can start having people subscribe today. More info in this thread:

> Today I’m excited to release a much-requested feature on Write.as: [email subscriptions](https://write.as/letters)! This new feature will let your readers subscribe directly to your blog updates via email and receive new posts in their inbox. It’s available to all Pro users in [Write.as Labs](https://write.as/labs). Note that this is an early beta feature. While the basic functionality is all there, we may be missing design niceties or still have bugs lurking around. That’s where you come in – we’ll be looking for everyone’s feedback on this to …
