# Sharing to Tumblr

@matt I tested the sharing on Tumblr which works perfectly. There are two things missing, however:

- **A link back to my blog**. As it stands, readers on Tumblr do not even know what the origin of the post is.

- **The possibility to send to Tumblr posts already published** … because I often forget to check the option when publishing.

I have been trying out cross-posting to Tumblr for the past week or so. I’ve found that the markdown content gets copied over as is to Tumblr. So if I write `*italic text*` on my write.as post, it shows up as `*italic text*` on Tumblr instead of _italic text_.
