Hi, there! There is one thing that I loved about Medium which is when a post shows an estimated “reading time” at the top. Has anybody tried to make this happen in Write.as? I know there are widgets for Wordpress for this. I’m not a programmer, so I don’t how to do it. It should be something like taking the word count of a post and dividing it by an average speed rate.
Any help is welcome!
Thanks!

Hi @ariadnemm, I took a stab at this, and came up with something I think would work for you! You can find the code and installation instructions here:

> **[readtime](https://code.as/widgets/readtime)**
>
> Widget for displaying "reading time" on WriteFreely posts.

This is just a bit of **custom Javascript** that’ll go in the corresponding section on your blog’s **Customize** page.

Let me know if you have any trouble with it, questions, or want to change how it works!
